吴强 上海交通大学特聘教授，癌基因及相关基因国家重点实验室研究员，系统生物医学教育部重点实验室常务副主任，科技部重大科学研究计划（973）项目首席科学家，国务院政府特殊津贴专家，上海市浦江学者，中美生命科学家学会终身会员，神经科学学会会员。

2008年回国前任犹他大学助理教授。

1999年至2001年，哈佛大学博士后，Damon Runyon Research Fellow。

1998获美国纽约州立大学石溪分校和冷泉港实验室细胞发育生物学博士

长期研究神经系统、药物代谢系统和肿瘤基因家族的表达调控和在体功能。用比较生物医学手段，开发分子遗传学新技术新方法，研究原钙粘蛋白家族在脑发育和脑功能中的细胞分子机制及UGT家族在药物代谢中的生理功能和表达调控原理,以小鼠为模式动物研究人类重要常见复杂神经精神疾病的发生发展机理,为其最终治疗提供理论基础。
